For account recovery purposes, our Application necessitates that you provide an email address. This is solely for the purpose of sending a temporary PIN to facilitate account recovery. It is important to understand that while your email address is used for this process and logged through our email service provider, Postmark, for the delivery of the temporary PIN, we maintain a stringent policy of using it exclusively for PIN recovery.

Please rest assured, even with the temporary PIN, there is absolutely no pathway for us or anyone else to gain unauthorized access to your account. Your data remains securely stored locally on your computer within your database file, to which we have no access. Our commitment to your privacy extends to ensuring the minimal use of your personal information, strictly limited to providing you with recovery options and maintaining the security of your account.

Data Storage and Security

  • Local Data Storage: All your contact information and related data are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.
  • Encryption: We employ industry-standard encryption technologies to secure your PIN stored within the Application to protect it against unauthorized access.
  • Backup and Restore: You have the option to backup and restore your data using external drives or cloud storage, which is a process managed by you entirely outside of our Application.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If you enable 2FA, you will be provided with a QR code to set up an authenticator application. We do not store any 2FA tokens or have access to your 2FA setup, ensuring your authentication is private and secure.

Log Data

We wish to clarify that the only data logged by our Application relates to the use of the email address and the email content containing the temporary PIN, which occurs within the Postmark service framework. This logging takes place exclusively when you initiate a PIN reset request due to a forgotten PIN.

It’s important to understand that this logging process is strictly confined to recording the email address to which the temporary PIN is sent, along with the content of the email for operational purposes. This information is securely managed and logged through Postmark, ensuring your privacy and the security of your data throughout the PIN reset process.
